This update from the Addison's Disease Self-Help Group discusses a significant change in ambulance services for those with steroid dependency.

Previously, patients could have their address “red-flagged” to indicate they were at risk of adrenal crisis, but this system has been phased out. Instead, the use of Summary Care Records and other safety measures will now be relied on to ensure these patients receive the necessary emergency care during a crisis. This shift aims to improve the process and enhance patient safety.
