Bariatric surgery improves outcomes for obese patients at risk of diabetes

A study published in Diabetologia has found that bariatric surgery is successful at reversing health problems, including diabetes, among patients with obesity. The surgery can improve glucose and lipid levels, blood pressure, total cholesterol and peripheral neuropathy among patients.
