Development of type 1 diabetes associated with enterovirus infection

Research indicates that islet cell autoantibodies in type 1 diabetes may be linked to enterovirus infection in children. The meta-analysis was presented at the annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes in Sweden.
