Diabetes associated with amino acids found in meat and dairy

According to a study published in BMC Public Health, an increased intake of dietary amino acids – found in beef, chicken, eggs and dairy foods – is associated with a higher likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes. The researchers recommend reducing meat consumption, although the results are not causal.
