Diabetes screenings at A&E could diagnose thousands

According to research presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, introducing the glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) test for type 2 diabetes in A&E hospitals could diagnose thousands of new cases, and avoid complications from the disease which arise if not found early.
