High stress in teenage years linked to negative cardiometabolic outcomes

A study published in Journal of the American Heart Association has found a link between high stress during adolescent years and the risk of adverse cardiometabolic health in adulthood, including an increased likelihood of developing obesity, type 2 diabetes and kidney disease. Further research is needed.
