SfE sponsored seminar: Leptin and the regulation of body weight

A Society for Endocrinology sponsored seminar session will take place from 12-1pm on 24 May 2011 at the University/British Heart Foundation Centre for Cardiovascular Sciences, Edinburgh. The seminar is entitled 'Leptin and the regulation of body weight' and will be given by Professor Jeffrey Friedman of the Rockefeller Institute, New York.

Professor Friedman's research has over the last two decades contributed immensely to our understanding of the mechanisms underlying body weight regulation, adipose tissue biology and metabolic diseases relating to obesity, with a most notable achievement being the identification of leptin.
