Childhood obesity linked to adult-onset diabetes

Children with obesity are 62% more likely to develop autoimmune diabetes, as well as increasing the risk of developing a number of novel subsets of adult-onset diabetes. The research which is published in Diabetologia, highlights the importance of weight intervention for children with obesity.
