Corticosteroid use in preterm birth linked to adverse health in infants

A study presented in The BMJ has found that early exposure to antenatal steroids used to prevent preterm births may increase the risk of long-term health issues in infants born at full term, including neurodevelopmental issues, growth and respiratory problems and admission to intensive care.
