In utero exposure to Covid-19 associated with preterm birth

A study published in PNAS has found a link between maternal Covid-19 infection during pregnancy and a higher risk of preterm birth incidence linked to adverse infant health. The increase in preterm births was most notable during the first phase of the pandemic, reducing after Covid-19 vaccines, suggesting efficacy in protecting maternal and infant health.
