Menopause practice standards have been published by the British Menopause Society, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Society for Endocrinology, Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

These standards aim to provide evidence-based recommendations and guidance on best menopause practice to support healthcare practitioners delivering menopause care, in line with current national and international guidelines and recommendations.

Publication of these standards is a follow up to the joint position statement on menopause care issued by the British Menopause Society, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Society for Endocrinology in June 2022.

The statement and practice standards were prepared in response to growing concerns around hormone replacement therapy (HRT) shortages and provide an expert consensus on best practice and standards for menopause care that incorporate national and international evidence-based information.
