Risk of obesity is almost doubled due to socioeconomic and genetic factors

A study published in Diabetes Care has found that the combination of socioeconomic and genetic factors can increase the risk of developing obesity by 48% and type 2 diabetes by almost 20%. Researchers recommend increased public health interventions and further research.
