Congratulations to Nurse Members Dr Sofia Llahana and Sherwin Criseno who have both been awarded a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Fellowship!
Dr Sofia Llahana is Senior Lecturer, Programme Director and Consultant Nurse in endocrinology at the University of London, and also sits on the Society Nurse Committee. She has been awarded the NIHR Clinical Lectureship, a post-doctoral award that provides clinical and academic training to help fellows establish themselves as independent researchers and leaders.
Sherwin Criseno is a Consultant Nurse in endocrinology at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. He has received the Health Education England (HEE)/NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research fellowship which enables registered health and social care professionals to obtain a PhD by research whilst concurrently developing their professional skills.
