A Portuguese study, published in Clinical Endocrinology, suggests a link between advanced pubertal development and high levels of DHEAS in girls. The study reports that girls aged 7 with high DHEAS levels are 1.5 times more likely to reach sexual maturation between the ages of 10 and 13.
