Insulin resistance may increase the likelihood of cancer spreading

According to a new meta-analysis published in Acta Oncologica, insulin resistance is markedly higher in cancer patients than in control groups.

The authors suggest insulin resistance could be causing cancer cells to multiply, and they highlight the need for more studies of insulin resistance treatment in cancer patients.
