Irritable bowel syndrome diagnosis linked to endometriosis

According to a study published in Cell Reports Medicine, endometriosis and irritable bowel syndrome are linked by a genetic risk factor. Research found that women diagnosed with endometriosis are twice as likely to present with gastrointestinal complaints and IBS symptoms.
