Paternal consumption of fish oil may reduce obesity risk in offspring

According to a murine study presented at NUTRITION 2024, the health of children may be positively impacted by supplements to the father’s diet. The study found offspring of male mice receiving fish oil weighed less at 7 and 21 days compared to those not receiving supplements. Female offspring from the fish oil group also showed better metabolic health.
